The Arcot Secure Electronic Notification and Delivery (SEND) Service is a secure, email-based alternative to paper correspondence. The SEND service provides a security and delivery clearinghouse for documents sent to a recipient’s email. With Arcot patented cryptographic camouflage technology built into the Adobe® Acrobat® family and Adobe Reader®, the SEND service protects confidential and personally identifiable information by encrypting PDF files. The recipient only needs the ubiquitous Adobe Reader, a password and an easy-to-use ArcotID secure software credential to decrypt the document and view it.

Arcot and Adobe collaborate on SEND by extending Adobe LiveCycle® ES and the Correspondence Management Solution Accelerator with Arcot’s new Secure Electronic Notification Delivery (SEND) service. With SEND, organizations can now provide additional security for customer email correspondence, improve their environment footprint and save money by eliminating paper, postage, and the operational costs associated with paper and traditional mail.

SEND helps institutions migrate from paper to digital delivery. Organizations can securely distribute electronic documents to customers, and customers can securely interact with the dynamic PDF document, verifying information, paying bills, and even signing contracts without ever having to log in or print. Users open their certified and secure statements by typing in a password only known to the user. Arcot patented technology invisibly provides the user the ability to authenticate, decrypt, view, and store their confidential documents on their desktop.

With SEND, you also have absolute proof that the user opened the e-document, including the time/date and IP address from which the document was opened. You can confidently meet compliance and other business objectives knowing that the document has been opened by the intended recipient.
